The Sing a Morning Society Inc. was founded in 2005 by Brisbane musical theatre regular Scott Bolland, with the aim of producing high-quality events that profit members of the general community.  Specifically, it is the aim of the society to utilise the gift of song to "sing a morning" for people less fortunate that ourselves.

Over the last four years we have produced and/or participated in, fundraising concerts for Opportunity International, Zonta, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the HOPE fund (providing support for those living with HIV/AIDS).

You may be asking yourself if such charity events really can make a difference.  To answer this question, simply take our fundraising efforts for Opportunity International as an example.  Around $200 is all it takes for Opportunity International to create a new job opportunity in the developing world (such as setting up a stall in a local market), that can support a starving family of 6 indefinitely.  So far we have raised over $10,000 for this organisation, translating to hundreds of lives that have been permanently freed from poverty.  Thus, it is evident that even small-scale ventures from groups such as the Sing a Morning Society are capable of having a profound effect on a large number of lives.

Over time it is our aim to extend the range of events that we produce, providing more opportunities for local performers to showcase their talents, but in a way that positively affects the lives of others.

The sound equipment utilised by the Sing a Morning Society Inc. was proudly funded by the Queensland Government's Gambling Community Benefit Fund.
