
Arlie
McCormick
is a
singer/musician
with more than
15 years
experience. In
2001 she
completed a
Bachelor Of
Music in
Contemporary
Voice at the QLD
Conservatorium
and has never
looked back. She
has worked
professionally
for many years
performing in
various bands
ranging from
corporate jazz
groups to
cabaret based
entertainment,
including
television work
for Channel 7 as
one of the
Carols Quartet.
Arlie is also an
accomplished
pianist and has
spent many years
performing in
piano bars
throughout
Brisbane, but
her true passion
is Music
Theatre.
Her career spans
a broad spectrum
of musical
styles including
rock, pop, jazz,
country and
musical theatre.
Arlie has played
the title role
of Calamity
Jane in 2003
and then one of
the ensemble in
I Love You,
You're Perfect
Now Change in
early 2004. She
reprised the
role twice more
for Mixed
Company in both
May 2004 and
November 2005 at
La Boite Theatre
in Brisbane. In
2004 Arlie also
performed as one
of the ensemble
in Mixed
Company's 10
year Anniversary
Show, Comedy
Tonight. In
2005 Arlie
received a
Dolphin Award
for her role as
Reno Sweeney
(opposite Steven
Tandy) in
Anything Goes,
at Gold Coast
Little Theatre.
In November 2006
Arlie also
featured in
Showstoppers
at the Schonell
for the
Ignations. In
April this year
Arlie performed
her favourite
role to date,
Fanny Brice, in
Funny Girl at
the Gold Coast
Arts Centre.
