Whether on the
stage or behind
it, Dirk
Hoult is
proving to be

emerging
artists. Since
graduating from
USQ in 2001 he
has appeared in
numerous film,
theatre, cabaret
and musical
theatre
engagements
across
Queensland.

Arts)
and most
recently the
multi-award
winning
production of
The Kursk by
Sasha Janowicz
(Metro Arts).
Dirk has
appeared in
numerous
children’s
theatre and
T.I.E.
productions
including a
state wide tour
of Tim Winton’s
The Bugalugs
Bum Thief with the
Queensland Arts
Council. His
short film
credits include:

PFTC, The War
of Jenkins Ear (PFTC),
The moment
After
(QPIX), Big
Night (Taxi
Films),
Circus Kitchen (QPIX),
Engaged (Pash
Films).
Also a budding
director, Dirk
recently
directed a moved
reading of
The People Next
Door
for 23rd
Productions and
was Assistant
Director for
Forward
Movement’s sell
out production
of The
Laramie Project at the
Powerhouse late
last year. Dirk
has been heavily
involved with
creative
realization of
several projects
including Jason
Robert Brown’s
Parade (Warehaus
Theatre) and
most recently
A Slightly
Sondheim Wedding
(Oscar Theatre
Co.) at the
Judith Wright
Centre. Earlier
this year,
Dirk was
nominated as
'Best Newcomer’
at the Matilda
Awards for the
third
consecutive
